An Update on Pastor Anthony Pami

A few months ago, our beloved Pastor, Anthony Pami, was diagnosed with leukemia. While he fortunately has what is known as pre-leukemia, also known as MDS, this impairs his immune system and requires chemotherapy and a stem cell transplant, thus preventing him from participating in services in the near future. We send our love, thoughts and prayers towards Anthony, his wife Cheryl, and children Ben, Jacob and Elisabeth as he makes a full recovery. Anthony will continue to be able to watch services from home, and is available via email, text, and mail to send thoughts and messages his way.

If you are interested in supporting Pastor Anthony and his family during this time, we encourage you to use this SignUp Genius link. While all slots are filled, we encourage you to still donate from the categories listed. Every little bit helps; thank you very much.

Looking Ahead: the next few months at Free Union Vienna

Who will continue to lead Free Union Vienna services?

Can I expect Free Union Vienna to continue to stream services?

How will major events such as the Apple Fest pan out?

Tony Albanese
Lay Leader

Michele Leinaweaver
Lay Leader

Laura Iacampo
Lay Leader

Jim Craig
Retired Reverend

Over the course of the next few months, Tony, Michele, Laura and Rev. Jim will lead on a weekly basis, leading us into 2023. Using the layout provided by Pastor Anthony, services will continue to remain very similar, with solely the leadership alternating. We are very grateful for their ability to serve, and thank God for their leadership in the coming months.

Services will continue to be streamed online via Facebook, or made available the next day. As Facebook is our primary means of contact, in addition to emails from Pastor Anthony, we will continue to implement these methods to deliver information and connect with the community!

We will also continue to hold major events, including our annual Apple Fest, and look forward to hosting other events — from mission trips to Christmas services at Cat Hollow — in the future.

Rev.
Jisun Nam

In addition to our four new lay leaders and ministers, we are thankful to have Rev. Jisun Nam from Trinity UMC joining us to provide leadership and framework in the interim, while also leading worship during critical seasons in the life of the church—from Communion to holidays.
